An investigation is underway into a suspicious car fire.
Moncton Fire Division Chief Charles Leblanc says firefighters responded to the call just before 4am this morning in Westbrook Circle.
When they arrived, the fire had been extinguished by the owners, and there was a lot of damage to the rear of the vehicle.
Leblanc says it was evident, because of several items that were found in the area, that this fire was deliberately set.
He wouldn’t elaborate on what the items were.
Codiac RCMP are now investigating.
