Tough economic times have provinces and municipalities asking for changes to the 1/3 each funding formula for big infrastructure projects.
Infrastructure and Communities Minister Amarjeet Sohi says they are aware of the request and it will be discussed.
He says the government understands that infrastructure investments are necessary to grow the ecomony and create jobs.
He says they do have $10 billion dollars in the Building Canada fund that has not been spent and they will be looking at how they expedite that money.
Sohi says they will talk about the appropriate level of investment from the Federal government when supporting municipal and provincial infrastructure.
