Despite a lot of rain and ice rain yesterday, just in the nick of time, we’re going to get a snowstorm to ensure a White Christmas.
Environment Canada meteorologist Richard Lafortune says Moncton will see total accumulation slightly lower than the earlier prediction of 15 to 25 centimetres.
He adds the snow will start for us early in the morning, becoming heavy at times.
“It’ll mix with ice pellets in the afternoon so as a result of the mixture with ice pellets we’re not quite expecting the 25 as before, but we’re still looking at about 15 centimetres overall,” says Lafortune.
He says the high tomorrow will be around minus 1, but high winds are expected with gusts up to 70 kilometres per hour.
