A former Saint John Common councillor convicted of 46 counts of sexual offences against young boys will have his case heard today in New Brunswick Court of appeal.
Donnie Snook is appealing his 18 year prison sentence, for crimes including sexual assault, and making and possessing child pornography. Snook filed the appeal, claiming 18 years is too long compared with other sentences in other cases involving similar charges.
His appeal hearing today begins at 10am, and arguments are expected to be heard this morning to determine whether or not the 18 year sentence will stand.
