Slippery Roads And Windchills

It is a messy morning for motorists.

As a result of snow that fell overnight, and cold windchills. Roads are slick this morning, with icy patches.

Slow down, and give yourself lots of room to stop.

The following schools in Anglophone East are closed, due to road conditions

Caledonia Regional High School
Hillsborough Elementary School
Riverside Consolidated School

Dorchester Consolidated School
Marshview Middle School
Port Elgin Regional School
Salem Elementary School
Shediac Cape School
Tantramar Regional High School

Buses on Routes 50, 51,52,54,57,58,59 in Anglophone East, will not be picking up Moncton High students due to road conditions in the region.

It isn’t warming up anytime today.

High winds are making it very chilly, with a windchill around minus 27 forecast for today. That will get even worse tonight, with a low of minus 21, and a windchill of minus 30.

The colder temperatures bring with them, a risk of frostbite. Ensure that you are not staying outdoors for extended periods of time, and if you have to be out, make sure that no skin is exposed.
