Shocking Temperatures Over The Weekend, Break Numerous Records

Some of the most unusual weather passed through the region over the weekend..

According to Environment Canada, we reached highs of almost 16.7 degrees at the Greater Moncton Romeo Leblanc International Airport on Saturday, which is the highest all time temperature ever in Moncton, with records dating back to 1881.

Sussex reached a high of 17.3 degrees, which is New Brunswick’s all time January high.

In Nova Scotia, we saw record highs as well. In Greenwood, they saw a high of 19 degrees which is an all time high in that province.

On Saturday, in just one hour. It dropped 14 degrees, from 15 degrees at 11am, to just 1 degree at noon. It then dropped below freezing after one o’clock.
