Scoudouc Pair Arrested After Contraband Smokes, Drugs Seized

Southeast District RCMP seized drugs and weapons from a house on Malakoff Road in Scoudouc on April 20th.

A man and woman from Scoudouc were arrested, after officers armed with a search warrant found more than 160,000 contraband cigarettes and cigars, as well as four kilograms of marijuana and pills believed to be the prescription opioids Oxycodone, and Hydromorphone.

Two firearms were also taken by police.

A 56-year old woman, and a 70-year old man were arrested at the home, but were later released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.

The man is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on August 21st, while the woman’s scheduled appearance is September 4th.
