Like most of us, the Conservative candidate in Saint John East was shocked when he heard of Gary Keating’s surprise resignation.
Glen Savoie, who lost to Keating by just 9 votes, tells us he doesn’t know what the Premier’s plan is but he hopes the by-election will be called soon.
He says the people of Saint John East deserve to have representation and in his view waiting six months is unacceptable.
P.C. party president Jason Stephen is also calling on Premier Gallant to call a by-election as soon as possible.
