A Court of Queen’s Bench judge in Saskatchewan found 47 year old Keith Dunfordguilty of dangerously operating a motor vehicle causing the death of flag person, 18 year old Ashley Richards, originally from the Hampton area in 2012.
She had moved to Saskatchewan from her home at Lakeside and was on the first day of her job as a flagger when she was killed.
Dunford was found not guilty of criminal negligence causing death but still faces up to 14 years in prison.
Submissions on sentencing will be made on October 30th in Weyburn.
