A competition this weekend is showing off the speed and talent of teams of dogs.
Nadia Miller is the secretary of the Flyball Agility Maritime Express.
She says flyball is essentially a four dog relay race.
“They do four jumps, going down a straight line, get a ball off an A-box, they come back the four jumps, then a second dog goes, and it’s a team versus another one,” says Miller.
She says the dogs need a minimum of 18 months of training, and there are 16 teams participating this time, with 4 to 6 dogs in each team.
Miller says the competition will run all weekend in Sackville from 9 to 4.
