Riverview Residence Destroyed By Fire

Fire has destroyed a two storey home in Riverview.

The Canadian Red Cross says the fire broke out at around 10pm last night at the residence on Lady Slipper Court.

Firefighters were back on the scene this morning, dealing with hot spots.

The heat from the flames also damaged a neighbouring house.

Five people were displaced. A man, woman and their two year old from Nova Scotia, were visiting family at the home.

The Red Cross have arranged emergency lodging, meals and clothing.

There’s no word on a cause yet.
