A Riverview educator will be recognized on a national scale after being named one of Canada’s Outstanding Principals.

Nancy Matthews of Riverview Middle School was one of three New Brunswickers named to the list.

The other New Brunswick teachers include Matthew Bedard of Seawood Elementary School in Saint John and Wayne Annis from Keswick Valley Memorial School, in Burtts Corner.

Matthews will attend the awards gala held in Toronto on February 28th.

She will also attend a leadership conference at the University of Toronto.

Last year, Matthews received the Lieutenant-Governor’s Award for Public Administration.
