Ceremonies will mark Remembrance Day across the region today.
There are several to choose from in the Greater Moncton area.
The largest is at the Moncton Coliseum..with crowds beginning to gather at 10:30.
There will also be a Veterans parade from the Sunny Brae Legion to the Cenotaph, with ceremonies taking place there at around 10:45.
A small ceremony is also held at Victoria Park.
In Dieppe, in collaboration with the Dieppe Military Veterans Association, ceremonies will be held Mathieu-Martin School on Champlain Street. A parade, made up of veterans, cadets and members of the RCMP, will form at 10:30 a.m. and will make its way indoors for the ceremony.
In Riverview, a service will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church starting at 10:50 a.m. Veterans will march into the church alongside fire and police personnel as well as local cadets, guides and scouts.
Services in Shediac will be held at Louis J Robichaud School, with everyone beginning to gather at around 9:40am.
Memramcook services will mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day, with a tulip being planted in front of each of the 234 veterans stores. A ceremony will be held first at the Veterans Park at 11 o’clock. Tulips will also be planted in Vetrans Park in memory of the many people who have lost their battle against PTSD.
