Moncton fire investigators have been sifting through a north end duplex to find out what caused the blaze on Tuesday night.
No one was hurt in the fire on Brevet Street which gutted one half of the structure with major damage to the other half.
The Red Cross is helping a man and woman from one unit with emergency purchases and an employer has paid for a hotel as the couple awaits word from their insurance company.
Two residents from the other unit have made their own arrangements.
