A milestone was reached this week by the Moncton Wildcats.
Their “Reading Is Wild ” program reached one million books read.
The program was launched in 1998 in an effort to encourage kids to read. Forty five schools have participated since then.
Four local schools in Anglophone East and Francophone South are chosen each year for the 12 week program.
The school sets a goal of how many books should be read, and at the end of each week a student of the week is chosen.
