CMHA Offering Program For PTSD

The Moncton branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association wants to offer help in coping with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

A new program is being introduced this month that will focus on this like understanding trauma and to developing a plan in dealing with it.

Operations Manager for New Brunswick Kristen Barnes says we all deal with our mental health differently, “We all have mental health and it goes up and down all the time. The way events or things affect us in our lives are completely individual to that person, so for one person, what may be trauma, may not be to another individual.”

The program will be offered over a number of weeks, and each session is expected to run about two hours. It is scheduled to start on February 18th.
