New Brunswick RCMP seized 90,000 illegal cigarettes this week.
Officers found nine cases of contraband tobacco when they stopped and searched a vehicle on the TransCanada Highway near Havelock, a half hour west of Moncton.
Two women in their early fifties were arrested and now face two charges relating to the transport and possession of contraband tobacco.
Tina Marie Romain and Linda Marie Robichaud, are both from Digby, Nova Scotia.
Robichaud was released and will return to court April 15th, while Romain will stay in jail until her bail hearing this Friday.
