Codiac RCMP are continuing their search after reports earlier today of a suspicious man.
Officers have streets blocked off in the Mountain Road, Mapleton Street, Kendra Street, at Connaught and Killam, Anne Street, and West Lane, as they go door to door canvassing the area. They are limiting traffic in the area….and are telling people to stay inside their homes.
Corporal Chantal Farrah says initial report came in at around 11:15 this morning of a man in his late teens that was reportedly in possession of a firearm..He was reported to be walking down Katharine Street..
He is described as in his late teens, with dark coloured hair, average height and a slim build, wearing dark coloured pants, a grey jacket with red stripes down the arms and a dark coloured knitted touque.
Farrah says there have been no other reported sightings of the individual, but RCMP are being cautious due to the nature of the report.
