Provincial Government Encourages Residents To Prepare For Possible Canada Post Work Stoppage

A looming work stoppage by Canada Post workers will impact government services in New Brunswick.

The province is making contingency plans to deal with the possible strike coming as early as July 2nd.

Service New Brunswick Minister Ed Doherty says in the event of a work stoppage, all incoming and outgoing mail will be frozen.

He adds all clients and vendors should set up direct deposit accounts to ensure continuation of necessary payments.

Doherty says during a strike, residents can keep up to date by checking the Service NB website, or calling Service New Brunswick TeleServices at 1-888-762-8600.
