Port Of Saint John To Be Intervenor On Energy East

There’s some criticism of the National Energy Board review of the proposed Energy East pipeline.

The Ecology Action Centre claims with more tanker traffic in the Bay of Fundy because of the pipeline, there should be hearings in Nova Scotia.

The President and C-E-O at the port, Jim Quinn says the port of Saint John has handled oil transportation for decades and done it safely without any incidents.

Quinn calls the National Energy Board hearings a healthy process because it will give everyone a chance to have their say.
