Premier Brian Gallant being called on to call an inquiry into what prompted criminal charges to be laid against Carleton-Victoria M-L-A Andrew Harvey which were later withdrawn.
The Conservative M-L-A for Gagetown-Petitcodiac Ross Wetmore says the suggestion of political interference is still out there and it is calling into question the integrity of the justice system in the province.
Wetmore adds the Liberals had suggested at the time there was some political hanky panky going on and he’s reminding the Premier it was he who said before the provincial election there should be an independent inquiry into the process.
