Repairs and renovations are being done to ensure the preservation of the historic Memramcook complex.
The province has committed $5 million dollars to the project.
Premier Brian Gallant says the Memramcook institute has been an important contributor to the economy of the southeast and the community of Memramcook, and it is also a location of historic importance.
It was founded in 1864, and was formerly known as Collège Saint-Joseph. It has also served as a seminary, a college, a university, and also housed other organizations over the years.
