The Prime Minister says all Canadians are with Toronto today after a senseless and horrific attack that saw 10 people killed and 15 injured in a van attack on Yonge Street on Monday.
Speaking to reporters Trudeau, on behalf of all Canadians, gave condolences to all of those affected.
Trudeau then thanked the first responders on behalf of Canadians saying, “they handled this extremely difficult situation with professionalism and bravery, they faced danger without a moment of hesitation.”
The Prime Minister also said although public safety is a top priority, “we can not as Canadians choose to live in fear every single day as we go about our daily business.”
The Prime Minister also told reporters he will go to Toronto, but only when the time is right.
