Premier David Alward spent the night at the Dumont Hospital in Moncton.
PC party officials say the premier had been suffering from flu-like symptoms since Sunday.
However, he did emerge from hospital this morning and reporters say he was in good spirits.
Officials say he will be taking part in today’s debate.
