Premier Says Changes Are Needed In Delivery Of Healthcare

Without spelling out what he has in mind, Premier Brian Gallant says healthcare delivery has to be changed.

He vows to transform New Brunswick into the smart province which might kill two birds with one stone because spending heavily on education and training will also serve to lower the cost of healthcare. Gallant quoted Benjamin Franklin who said spending money on knowledge yields the best interest.

Meantime, the Opposition is accusing the Liberals of being undemocratic. Saint John Lancaster M-L-A Dorothy Shepherd says with rule changes instituted by the government, the legislature won’t be sitting until March 29th which means no question period, less debate and less transparency.
