A step in the right direction…….That’s the reaction of Premier Brian Gallant to what emerged from the Climate Change conference in Vancouver. He’s talking about the agreement by the premiers to move Canada’s resources to market. Gallant considers that positive for the future of the Energy East pipeline.
Prime Minister Trudeau says carbon pricing will be part and parcel of the climate change plan which is expected to be finalised in the fall.
Putting a price on carbon was the most controversial issue going in with the threat from the Trdueau Government to impose a minimum price unilaterally.
Trudeau does say there will not be a one size fits all when it comes to carbon pricing. Each province will come up with its own mechanism.
