Prmier Brian Gallant made a few changes to his cabinet Friday, promoting a backbencher to Minister of Agriculture, Mines and Rural Affairs.
Wilfred Roussel is the MLA for Shippagan-Lamèque-Miscou in the northeastern part of the province, and is taking over the former portfolio of Andrew Harvey.
Harvey is now made Minister of Environment and Local Government.
Gallant said these changes were made due to the upcoming retirement of Attorney General Serge Rousselle.
Gallant will now add Attorney General to his lengthy list of responsibilities.
Health Minister Benoit Bourque assumed responsibility for Service New Brunswick, and Economic Development Minister Francine Landry took on the additional role of northern regional development.
