Poll Released On Millennials

Angus Reid has released a poll on how Millennials are viewed. 58 per cent of people surveyed between the ages of 35 and 54 say today’s young people between 18 and 34 are “soft”.

A slight majority of respondents, 53 per cent, say young people starting out today have it harder than past generations but 47 per cent say starting out has always been tough and young people today are soft.

Most people living in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal, 57%, say young people have it harder today while those of us who reside in small cities and rural areas are more likely to say today’s young people are soft.

The number of young people living at home into their 20s and 30s has been increasing since the 1980’s. 36 per cent of people think this is bad according to the poll but 43 per cent say it’s neither good nor bad.
