Politicians officially hit the campaign trail

And the campaigning is officially underway.

The writ has dropped and political candidates have 32 days to convince voters to mark an “X” beside their name on the ballot next month.

Premier David Alward visited Lieutenant Governor Graydon Nicolas this week asking him to dissolve the New Brunswick legislature, effective today.

Candidates are expected to be out in full force in all 49 ridings across the province.

New Brunswickers head to the polls on September 22nd.

Elections NB says advance voting is scheduled for September 13, and September 15.
