Police Seeking Information On Vandalism In Downtown Moncton

Codiac RCMP are investigating a rash of vandalism in downtown Moncton and looking for information from the public to help identify those responsible.

Between February 14th and 16th, 35 incidents of graffiti were documented along Main Street, Botsford Street, Highfield Street, Queen Street, Assomption Boulevard and St. George Street.

Cst. Chris Fader says graffiti is a costly crime to businesses and communities and offenders can face criminal charges of mischief under or over $5,000

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

Anyone who has had property vandalized by graffiti is also encouraged to report it to the police and to remove the graffiti as soon as possible in order to reduce its spread.
