It’s a great time to go outside and play but unfortunately playgrounds in the tri-communities remain closed.
The province is requiring playgrounds to be sanitized twice per day amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
With 53 playgrounds in the City of Moncton, spokesperson Isabelle LeBlanc says some are complex structures with ropes, plastics and chains so it’s simply not possible to sanitize twice daily.
In the City of Dieppe, spokesperson Julie Albert says the city is looking into how public health guidelines can be followed.
The Town of Riverview says it’s currently evaluating if it is able to sanitize twice daily.
