Oromocto RCMP Asking For Help ID’ing Human Remains Found On Small Island

RCMP in Oromocto calling on the public for help identifying human remains found on a small island in Sheffield in August.

Police determining the body is that of an adult man who died within the past six to 18 months. There were no pieces of ID found at the scene which police say has made identifying him challenging.

They say at the time of his death, the man was wearing blue jeans with a belt, pyjama pants, long underwear, a dark coloured turtleneck sweater, a black hoodie with the words “Sons of Anarchy” and a brown coloured hoodie. He was also wearing a dark navy blue reversible fleece jacket with “Nautica” written across the shoulders in red and North Face-brand hiking sneakers that are black and yellow in colour. A pair of black gloves were also found, and inside one of them was a ring which has a square front and depicts an eagle.

Police don’t believe foul play was involved in the man’s death however it’s not been ruled out as a possibility. If you have any information about this you’re asked to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
