January 11, 1946 – March 26, 2026
A gentle soul has left us. Wayne suffered many months with his illness and was able to spend all his days at home in the care of his loving wife and children. On the day of his passing, he spent only a few hours at Albert House Hospice. He passed away peacefully with his family around him.
Wayne was born in Russell, Manitoba to Stuart and Bertha Cusitar. Most recently, he and his wife retired and moved from Calgary to Riverview to be near family.
Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Beth, with whom he shared a beautiful life of true companionship and love. Together, they did everything side by side. They built their life grounded in faith and they were committed to their family and all the friends they had fellowship with. He will be dearly missed by his son, Blaine (Dallas) Cusitar of Smithers, British Columbia and daughter, Jillian (Greg) MacDonald of Riverview, New Brunswick. Wayne was a loving and caring grandpa to Damon, Devon, Jesse and Brianne, all of whom brought him great joy!
He was predeceased by his parents, as well as his brother and sister-in-law, Nelson and Anna Cusitar.
Wayne pursued higher education, earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration.
As a young boy Wayne chose to serve God and was deeply faithful in that choice until the end of his life. His sincere love for God and care for others was evident in the way he lived each day, always putting others before himself.
Wayne will be remembered for his quiet strength, his devotion to his family, and his unwavering faith.
A Funeral Service and Reception will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd Moncton, NB (506-858-1995) on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Atlantic Time. His burial service will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026 for his immediate family.
Wayne’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
