Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, NB – Rita Caissie, 86, passed away peacefully at Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
Born in Bouctouche, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alyre and the late Yvonne Robichaud (Gaudet).
Rita will be sadly missed by her husband of 69 years: Ronald Caissie; her daughter: Rhéa Caissie of Sainte-Anne and her son: Fernand Caissie (Lucie LeBlanc) of Sainte-Anne; she is also survived by her brother: Bernard Maillet (Réjeanne) of Saint-Norbert and her sister: Géraldine Girouard (late Paul) of Moncton.
Beside her parents: she was predeceased by her daughter, Marie (baby) and her brothers: Amédée, Adélin and Télex.
Visitation will be held at Sainte-Anne-de-Kent RC church slumber room on Tuesday, June 16th, 2026, from 2 pm to 3:50 pm, followed by a funeral mass at the church at 4 pm.
In Rita’s memory, a donation can be made to a charity of your choice.
The family would like to say thank you to the staff at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, to the staff of the Extra Mural Program for the good care given to Rita. Also thank you to Lucie LeBlanc and Réjeanne Maillet for spending time with her by her bedside.
