Regis Cormier

1943 – 2026

Moncton, NB – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Regis Cormier, 82, of Faubourg du Mascaret “Pavillon Landry” and formerly of Cap-Pelé, on Monday, April 27th, 2026.

Born in Cap-Pelé, NB, he was the son of the late Camille and the late Delvina (Vautour) Cormier.

Prior to his retirement, he was the past owner of Pier 99 and Fred’s Restaurant in Cap-Pelé, he was also a member of Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila Parish.

He is survived by his sons: Danny (Tanya) of Cap-Pelé and Steven (Tammy) of Moncton; by his grandson, Xavier (Alysha); by the mother of his sons, Claudette Elliott of Cap-Pelé; by his sisters: Albertine Leger (late Camille) of Cap-Pelé, Yvonne LeBlanc (Armand) of Dieppe and Lucie Jacob (late Eric) of Cap-Pelé; by his brother, Hector (Juliette) of Cap-Pelé, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister, Sylvia (Alyre) and by his brothers: infant George and Rheal (Murielle).

There will no visitation prior to the funeral.

Funeral mass will be held from Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila RC Church, Cap-Pelé, NB, on Monday, May 4th, 2026, at 10:30 am.

Burial will take place in Passage- Chartersville Columbarium, Dieppe, NB.

In lieu of flowers and in his memory, a donation can be made to the Alzheimer Society.
