1965-2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patrick LaPointe of Moncton, formerly of Eel River Crossing, NB. He passed away peacefully at Moncton City Hospital on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the age of 60, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Patrick was born on March 20, 1965. He was the beloved son of Donat and Doreen LaPointe.

Throughout his illness, Patrick remained remarkably strong and positive.

Patrick was truly one of a kind, with an incredibly big heart. He treated everyone with kindness and respect and was always willing to help someone in need. Known for his sense of humor and candid personality, Patrick spoke his mind and often kept those around him laughing – you never quite knew what he might say next. He was often the life of the party and created many unforgettable memories with those around him.

He was deeply loved by his many friends and by his coworkers at Ensemble, whom he truly considered family.  Heartfelt thanks to all of you for being such an important part of his life.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the compassionate staff in Palliative Care at Moncton City Hospital for the kindness, comfort and care they provided.

As per Patrick’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.

Patrick will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him
