Michael “Mikey” Poirier

1973 – 2026

Bouctouche, NB – It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Michael “Mikey” Poirier, 52, on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB.

Born in Leominster, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Maxime and the late Helena (Allain) Poirier.

Prior to his long illness, Mikey worked as a carpenter and steel worker. He was a jack of all trade. He was always working on a different project. His daughter was his pride and joy. The day of her birth was the happiest of his life. He was a great friend to many. Always there to lend a helping hand when needed. He loved going out for Sunday drives or staying home and watching the Nascar races. He will be missed by many.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Tiffany (Ryan) Poirier; by his daughter, Morgan Poirier, at home; by his sisters: Clemence Cormier (Ronald) of Shediac Cape, Aurea Richard (Elie) of Moncton and Dianne Poirier (Raymond Savoie) of Bouctouche; by his goddaughters: Émilie and Chloé; by his godsons: Jesse and Rémi, as well as many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held at Passage-Maillet, 29 de l’Église Street, Bouctouche, NB, (506) 743-2207, on Monday, May 18th, 2026, from 1 pm to 3:30 pm, followed by the funeral mass at St-Jean-Baptiste RC Church at 4 pm.

The burial will take place in the parish cemetery in spring 2026.

In his memory, donations can be made to the CHU-Dumont Foundation “Oncology” or to the Manoir St-Jean-Baptiste.
