Riverside-Albert, NB– It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Maurage, 60, on Wednesday, July 1st, 2026.
Born in Montreal QC, she was the daughter of the late Joey Maurage and the late Corinne Melanson.
She is survived by her partner, Doug Stevens of Riverside-Albert; her sons: Trevor Richard (Michelle) of Calgary and Craig Jr “CJ” Sharpe of Ontario ; her siblings: Roger Richard (Carole) of Vancouver Island, Normand Richard (Diane) of Moncton, Anne- Marie Richard of Moncton, John Richard (Denise) of Lakeville, Roberta LeBlanc (Denis) of Notre-Dame and Robert Lane (Bibsy) of Ontario; her grandchildren: Ashton, Autumn and Lincoln; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Edward Richard as well as her sister, Viola Richard.
Marie had a beautiful soul and a vibrant spirit. She loved dancing, music, and reading, as well as spoiling her cats. She never missed an opportunity to enjoy a good conversation. A true social butterfly, she brought warmth, laughter, and energy wherever she went. She was strong willed, funny, outspoken, and unapologetic herself. She never worried about what others thought of her and lived life on her own terms, always standing up for what she believed in. Her strength, authenticity, and unforgettable spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Passage (625 Ch. Mountain Road, Moncton, E1C 2P1) on Thursday July 9th,2026, from 3pm to 4pm only. Followed by a celebration of her life at 4pm.
