Cocagne, NB – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Louis Cormier, 61, of Cocagne, NB, who passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, at Albert House Hospice in Moncton, NB.

Born in Moncton, NB, on March 12, 1965, he was the son of the late Gérard Cormier and Claudette (née Arsenault) Cormier.

Louis leaves his mother Claudette Cormier of Cocagne, his two daughters, Monette Maillet Cormier (David) of Cocagne and Mireille Maillet (James) of Richibouctou-Village, his grandchildren: Yanick, Ariel, Logan, Josiane and Alyssa. He also leaves his two brothers, Marcel Cormier of Montreal, QC, and Daniel Cormier of Vancouver, BC.

He was predeceased by his father, Gérard Cormier.

Louis was a great lover of music and had a large collection of guitars, which reflected his passion for music.

Visitation will be held on August 20, 2026, at Saint-Pierre de Cocagne Church from 2:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 4:00 p.m.

Burial will take place at the Saint-Pierre de Cocagne Cemetery following the funeral service.
