It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leigh Dallas Deleavey. Formerly of Prince George, BC, at 82 years old, He passed away peacefully surrounded by love at the Veterans’ Health Centre in Moncton, NB on Monday evening, September 14th/2026.

Born in Plaster Rock, NB, He was the son of the late Albert and Beatrice (Mitton) Deleavey. Leigh was part of the Canadian Armed Forces, serving for 31 years before retirement. Leigh had a deep passion for Hunting, Fishing, and generally anything to do with the outdoors. Leigh also served in the Reserved Forces several years after retiring. He also worked part time as a commissionaire at the Prince George Airport, as well as an Armoured Car Security Officer, as well as a Plow Truck Driver for YRB, also in Prince George, BC.

Leigh will forever be deeply missed by his loving daughter Della Deleavey of Shediac, NB; Grandson Austin Ramsay of Prince George BC; Great Grandchildren Cayleigh Gunderson and Dallas James (DJ) Ramsay of Prince George, BC; Brothers Wayne (Queenie) Deleavey of Plaster Rock, NB and Vaughan (Debbie) Deleavey of Morrisburg, ON; Many extended family members and friends. Leigh is Predeceased by his parents Albert and Beatrice (Mitton) Deleavey,

Family and friends are invited to the Veterans’ Health Centre at 65 War Veterans Avenue, Moncton on Thursday, October 1st/2026 for A Celebration of Leigh’s life.
