1940 – 2026

Joan Doris Brace of Riverview, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on May 31, 2026. Born in Cape Breton, NS, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Ruby (nee Francis) Hart.

She was an RN for 46 years and in her retirement, she found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She spent many happy hours tending to her garden, creating beautiful needlework projects, and immersing herself in the pages of a good book. 

Joan will be remembered and missed by her husband of 64 years Arthur Brace, daughter Karen (Rick) Hyslop, son Kent Brace, sister Janet (Keith) Knight, grandchildren: Ashley (Caleb) Lutes, Michael Dauphinee, great-grandchildren: Addison, Eli, Madelyn, Emma, Blake, nieces: Sara (Craig), Suzanne (David) and Angela (Kirk), great-nephew, Christopher and great-niece, Katherine

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm on June 14, 2026, at Moncton Residence, 270 John Street, in the second floor activity room.

Arrangements are entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd Riverview (506-869-2007). Donations in her memory can be made to The Friends Of The Moncton Hospital Foundation.
