1945 – 2026

James (Jim) Branch of Moncton passed away on February 2, 2026, after a period of failing health. Born in Bathurst, NB, he was the son of the late Herb and Onie Branch.  Jim worked in the construction industry in Moncton, Saint John, NB and St. John’s, NL. He was an avid golfer from a young age and enjoyed travelling to the USA and warmer climates.

Besides his parents, Jim was predeceased by his wife Marjorie, his brother Herbert Jr., brothers-in-law Ray Francis, Greg Sullivan, and Larry Hyttenrauch.

He is survived by his brother Reade (Pat) and sister Sheila Francis, sisters-in-law Kathy (Dan) Stote, Jackie Sullivan and Sandra Hyttenrauch, brother-in-law Ralph Sullivan, as well as a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place; there will be no visitation.

A Celebration of Jim’s life will take place on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Cobb’s Funeral Home, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview with a reception to follow.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the Staff of Briairlea on Ryan for their care and support given to Jim.
