J. Arlene Woodford

February 10, 1962  –  April 28, 2026

Arlene Woodford, 64 of Moncton, NB, surrounded by the love of her family, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. Born in New Waterford, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Gardiner) Henry.

Arlene was formerly a Corporal in the Canadian Armed Forces (1979-1988) and for several years was employed with Nordia as a Customer Service Representative. She was a member and former employee of the Bedford Royal Canadian Legion Branch 95. She enjoyed playing darts, painting, playing card games and Scrabble, she liked to think that she could bake, she relished socializing with her friends, loved spending time with her family and entertaining her grandchildren

Arlene will be deeply and sadly missed by her loving sons, Darryl (Christina) Woodford of Moncton and Jamie (Sophie) Woodford of Dieppe; her cherished grandchildren, Brooke, Conner, Grace, Hannah and Owen; sister, Debbie Henry; brother, George Henry (late Nancy) and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Arlene was predeceased by her siblings, Rose Kendig (Buddy), Delores Hickey (Jim), Rhodina Burns, Trina Bewsher (Skip), Charlie Henry, Eddie Henry (Germaine), Jimmy Henry (Leona); fiancée, Paul; her four-legged fur babies, Max, MJ and Milly.

Relatives & Friends are invited to Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) for a Service to Celebrate and Honour Arlene’s Life on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 11:00 am. Reception to follow the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment to be held in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, River Ryan, Cape Breton County, Nova Scotia at a later date.
