It is with gentle sadness that we announce the passing of Germaine Poitras, who passed peacefully at the

Maison Albert Hospice in Moncton on March 15, 2026, at the age of 78.

Born on April 25, 1947, in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Germaine was a devoted wife to her late husband, Gerald Poitras. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her daughter, Lisa Richard (Donald), and her cherished grandson, Jeremie Richard (Claudie Forbes).

Germaine was predeceased by her beloved son, Luc Poitras.

In keeping with Germaine’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private ceremony will be held at a later date.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Maison Albert Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion, as well as to the close friends who supported them during this difficult time.

In memory of Germaine, donations would be greatly appreciated by the family to Hospice SENB – Maison Albert House Hospice.
