January 22, 1942  –  March 26, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of George Earl, at the age of 84 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre with his son, Ron by his side on Thursday, March 26, 2026.

George was born in St. John’s, NL to the late Harold and Eileen (nee Tucker) Earl.

He will be sadly missed by his son, Ron Earl (Tina); sister, Libs (late Lynn); and brother, David (Betty); as well as his extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Jeanette “Jenny” Earl; and sister, Barb (Russ).

For 32 years, George worked in the Iron Ore Mines in Labrador City, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, ski-dooing and going to the cabin. Upon retirement he moved to Moncton, with his loving wife, Jenny where they enjoyed day trips throughout New Brunswick and Nova Scotia and their annual trip down south. He enjoyed gardening and tinkering around the house. He also enjoyed a good laugh and a chat with family and friends anywhere he went, and also enjoyed a coffee with the neighbours. In the evening, he looked forward to watching TV, Old Movies and UFC Fights.

Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) on Sunday, March 29, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Interment will be held at a later date in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
