Frank Durnford, 76, of Moncton, NB passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. Born in Sydney, NS, he was a Telecommunications Technician for many years in Sydney and Moncton before retiring. In his retirement he was passionate about his many hobbies including photography, ham radio, and computers. He was a proud member of the Moncton Area Amateur Radio Club (MAARC) and loved talking to other radio enthusiasts. He always had an ongoing project or something to tinker with. He loved to tell jokes and to make others laugh.

He will be sadly missed by his daughters, Jennifer Durnford (Diana Carter) of Kelowna, BC and Kelly Durnford (Kyle DeWolfe) of Halifax, NS.

Frank is also survived by his siblings: Jabez Durnford, Wayne Durnford, Robert (Audrey) Durnford, Victor (Pamela) Durnford, Harold (Chuck Baker) Durnford, Cindy Cooke (Blair), Todd Durnford (Ma Cynthia) and Kim Wood (Jeff) as well as many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Frank and Ada Durnford, his brothers Charlie and David (Irene) Durnford, and his infant son Geofrey Durnford.

Private Family interment to be held in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney, Nova Scotia at a later date. Frank’s arrangements have been entrusted to Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995).
