May 21, 1929 – April 22, 2026
Everett R. Hopper, 96, long time resident of Ryan St, Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Born in Hildegarde, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (nee Leeman) Hopper.
Everett retired from the Department of Agriculture working within the Dairy Herd Analysis Division. He was an official judge for Holstein Canada, and judged cattle shows in NB, NS and PEI. In his earlier years he tended to the farm, and then upon retirement continued farming, and offering friends help around their farms. He enjoyed all sports, especially hockey. He had a passion for Dairy Farms, his vegetable garden and livestock shows. He was one to sit and read the newspaper for hours. But most important to Everett was his family, he enjoyed many family gatherings over the years.
He will be sadly missed by his children, Lisa Keirstead (Brad Watts), Alex Hopper and Charles “Chuck” Hopper (Krista); grandchildren, Mark, Darrick, Cassandra, Lauren and Avery; great grandchildren, Kari, Isabella and Tucker; as well as his many extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Maud Hopper (2011); sisters, Gwenia Fogan and Florence Hooper; and brother, Ralph Hopper.
Family and Friends are invited to Fergusons Funeral Home Reception Centre, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) on Monday, April 27, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm for a time to gather and share memories of Everett’s life.
