February 13, 1970 – January 31, 2026
It is with broken hearts the family announces the sudden passing of Donald Scott Slote, (Ancaster, Ontario) on Jan 31, 2026, at the age of 55.
He is survived by his wife Louise, and his two children Amanda and Alex.
Scott was a man with strong will and deep integrity, who lived life on his own terms and left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
As a father he approached the role as he did with everything, ALL IN as well as with compassion, commitment, determination and love, rising to the responsibilities of parenthood and there are no words to describe how much he loved being a Dad.
Scott was always the first to lend a hand and help a friend or neighbor. He loved all animals, anything with an engine, woodworking, fabricating, reading the classics, writing, travelling, baking, and creating everything with his own hands, and someone who believed that learning, wherever it took place, was one of life’s greatest privileges. Above all, he cared for those closest to him with love that was uniquely his own.
His presence-whether through simple moments or grand gestures-will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Scott will be remembered in different ways by different people, and his passing marks the closing of a chapter that leaves space for reflection. Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
His family wishes to thank friends and loved ones for their support and ask for patience as we grieve the loss of a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Scott is reunited with his beloved dogs, Molson, Casey, Ed, and Bear.
As per his wishes there will be no service. Arrangements have been entrusted into the professional care of Fergusons Funeral Home & Fergusons Crematorium, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton, NB (506-858-1995).
In lieu of flowers, donations to Heart & Stroke or M.S. Society would be appreciated.
