Acadie Siding NB – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Diane Marie Richard, which occurred on May 18, 2026, at the age of 85, at Percy’s Place Hospice in Miramichi.

Born in Rogersville, NB, she was the wife of the late Bernard Léger and the daughter of the late Éloi Richard and the late Mai Richard (née Doiron).

She will be greatly missed by her daughters: Monique Léger (Jean-François Mallet) and Rachel Léger (Denis Rioux); her sons: Marc Léger and Pierre Léger (Annie Duguay); her brother, Charles Richard (Kathy Richard); and her sisters: Jeannine LeBlanc (late Édouard LeBlanc) and Mariette LeBlanc (Gilles LeBlanc).

She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Antoine, Théa, Deven, Mélanie, Josée, Brigitte, Natasha, Jean-Marc, and Isabelle; as well as her great-grandchildren: Khloé, Émilee, Simon, Emma, Myles, Della, Jovie, and Élias, along with several nieces and nephews.

Diane worked for many years as a receptionist at Radio-Canada in Moncton and also worked as a caregiver to many clients whom she loved dearly.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Percy’s Place Hospice for the excellent care and compassion shown to Diane.

A celebration of Diane’s life will be held at Passage Moncton, located on Mountain Road in Moncton, on Friday, May 22, 2026, with visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. only.
