Denise (Jean) Méthé

1938 ~ 2026

Cap-Pelé, NB – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Denise Méthé, 87, at Maison Providence in Shediac, on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

Born in Mont-Carmel, QC, she was the daughter of the late Louis Jean and the late Claire Beaulieu.

Denise was a woman with a big heart. She adored her family, especially her grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart. In her free time, Denise loved gardening, tending her flowers, and cooking.

Denise is survived by her husband of 62 years, André Méthé; her three sons: Robert (Denise Cormier), Marc (Josette Landry) and Éric (Kathy Gallant); her seven grandchildren: Mathieu (Dominique), Caroline (Andrew), Adèle, Alexis, Marc, Justin and Alexandre; her four great-grandchildren: Nico, Mélodie, Charlotte and Benjamin; her brother, Raymond (Hélène); her five sisters: Jeannine (the late Roméo Voyer), Thérèse (the late Jean-Marc Turgeon), Pierrette (Luc Paquette), Dorice (the late Serge Blouin) and Michelle; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her three brothers: Rheal, Maurice and Laurent; and her sister, Monique.

Visitations will be held in the basement of Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila Church (2648 Acadie Street, Cap-Pelé) on Thursday, August 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., followed by the funeral service in the church at 11:00 a.m.
